RRB NTPC Selection Process 2026

Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT-1)
CBT-1 is the first stage of the recruitment process. It is a screening examination consisting of questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness. Candidates who qualify this stage are shortlisted for CBT-2.
Stage 2: Computer Based Test (CBT-2)
Candidates shortlisted from CBT-1 appear for the Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2). The marks obtained in CBT-2 play an important role in the final selection process.
Stage 3: Skill Test (If Applicable)
Depending on the post applied for, candidates may have to appear in one of the following tests:
- Typing Skill Test (TST): Applicable for posts such as Junior Clerk, Accounts Clerk, Junior Time Keeper, and Senior Clerk cum Typist.
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Applicable only for the Station Master post.
Stage 4: Document Verification (DV)

Stage 5: Medical Examination (ME)
